CERN announces start-up date for LHC, sooner than I am ready for...

Geneva, 7 August 2008. CERN¹ has today announced that the first attempt to circulate a beam in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be made on 10 September.

How did we get here? Two possiblities...

The Large Hadron Collider, this is old news however...

if you have never heard of this, you need to. This could be the beginning to the end or the end to the beginning. Either way, I think they are playing with fire.
